2016 Annual Meeting Silent Auction and Raffle Winners

SCPA’s legislative involvement is largely managed by our State Affairs Committee led by Bucky Kennedy. We primarily focus our available resources at state governmental levels. All of your support of our Raffle and Silent Auction goes toward supporting our elected state Agriculture Commissioners, as well as, key state Senators and Representatives who are members of Ag or related committees.

We try to support those who understand the realities of what we, as an industry, value – balancing reasonable regulation, supporting sound science in agriculture, and promoting environmental stewardship.

The Silent Auction to benefit SCPA’s Corporate PAC I was an incredible success. With 29 items to bid on ranging from jewelry to the latest in technology, we raised $5,980 to contribute to PAC I’s future political endeavors.
We would like to thank our silent auction sponsors for their support this year at our annual meeting.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to Individual PAC II through the raffle drawing. Held this year in place of Bingo and the Golf Tournament donations, raffle tickets were sold one for $40 or 3 for $100. Immediately following the Annual Banquet dinner, four lucky winners were drawn to win their choice of a week at a brand new beach house in North Carolina, a $500 “Foodie Gift Card” package, $500 gift certificate to Tiffany’s, and a $250 Orvis gift card. Money raised from the raffle tickets sold totaled $4,600.
We congratulate Valli Maddux on winning a one week, off-peak stay at Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina.
Sam Pace, who won the $500 “Foodie Gift Card” package ($100 to Bonefish Grill, $100 to P.F. Chang’s, $200 to Ruth’s Chris, and $100 to Chili’s).

Bob Gestring, winner of the $500 Tiffany’s Gift Certificate.
And Valli Maddux who also won the $250 Orvis Gift Card.
The moral of this story is…”the more tickets you buy,the better your chances are of winning”!!
